A headless storefront built directly on Shopify's API rather than against the theme, for a catalog where a workstation is assembled from hardware, software, and accessories. Options update the running total instantly, and checkout hands off to Shopify's own secure flow — so payments, orders, and fulfillment never had to be rebuilt or re-secured.
What made it interesting
knowing which part not to build. The interesting engineering is the configurator; the payment stack already existed and was already trusted, so the job was joining the two cleanly rather than replacing either.
